RETURN, REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Maison De Kush LLP for Bite Besharam 

This Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) is issued in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and governs purchases made through our website.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Nature of Products

Bite Besharam sells packaged food products intended for human consumption. Due to the consumable and perishable nature of these goods, returns are restricted to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance.


2. Eligibility for Returns

Returns shall be accepted only under the following circumstances:

  1. The product was delivered in a damaged condition.

  2. The product delivered is materially different from what was ordered.

  3. The packaging was tampered with at the time of delivery.

  4. The product is expired at the time of delivery.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind

  • Taste preference

  • Improper storage after delivery

  • Opened or partially consumed products

  • Minor packaging dents not affecting product safety

  • Delay caused by third-party courier partners beyond reasonable control


3. Mandatory Reporting Timeline

To be eligible for a refund or replacement:

  • The customer must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

  • A valid complaint must include:

    • Order number

    • Clear photographs of:

      • Outer shipping box

      • Product packaging

      • Batch number and expiry date

    • Unboxing video clearly showing the issue (mandatory in case of damage claims)

Failure to provide sufficient documentary proof may result in rejection of the claim.


4. Inspection & Verification

All return/refund requests are subject to internal verification.

Bite Besharam reserves the right to:

  • Request additional evidence,

  • Reject claims that appear fraudulent, abusive, or non-compliant,

  • Conduct verification with courier partners in case of transit damage.

The decision of Bite Besharam after review shall be final and binding.


5. Refund / Replacement Resolution

Upon approval of a valid claim, Bite Besharam may, at its sole discretion:

  • Issue a replacement product, OR

  • Provide store credit, OR

  • Refund the amount to the original payment method.

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 7–10 business days.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was attributable to Bite Besharam.


6. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled only if cancellation is requested before dispatch.

Once the order has been shipped, cancellation shall not be permitted.

7. Limitation of Liability

Bite Besharam shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;

  • Adverse reactions caused by undisclosed allergies;

  • Improper storage, handling, or consumption after delivery;

  • Claims made beyond the stipulated reporting timeline.

Maximum liability shall not exceed the total purchase price of the product in question.


8. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, lockdowns, supply chain disruptions, or courier delays.


9. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020:

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
